Diana Ruano, MSW, is a Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, with an emphasis in Mental Health and with a sub-concentration in Pupil Personnel Services Credential (P.P.S.C.). She completed her undergraduate Social Work degree at the California State University of Long Beach, Los Angeles.
Diana has over 20+ years of experience working within the Social Work field. Her specialty areas include Geriatric Psychiatric Unit, Mental Health, School Based-Mental health, Community College-Mental Health, Home Health, Adult Day Care, Skill Nursing Facility, Anger Management Groups, In/out Patient Hospital, and Hospice Care.
She began her career working with the geriatric population at an inpatient psychiatric hospital as a discharge planner. She went on to work as a School Based Social worker, working with children ages 5 to 21 and families providing individual, family therapy, leading personal empowerment, and parenting groups. She worked for many years as a School Based Social Worker.
Diana is currently working as a Medical Social Worker for both Hospice and Palliative Care agencies. Diana has a genuine passion for helping families navigate the complex and often confusing treatment choices as well as assisting families select and utilize community resources as a part of their treatment plans.
